Facebook added new monetization opportunities for creators on its platform, expanding access to its Rights Manager and Collect Ad Earnings tools, along with adding an in-stream ads toggle to its Creator Studio application.
Creators of all sizes are now eligible to join Rights Manager and use it to manage their content catalogs and control how, when and where their assets are shared.
New insights in the Rights Manager dashboard enable rights holders to quantify and optimize their protection activities and better leverage fan-driven distribution. They can see how their matched content is performing and better understand the audience for that content.
The Collect Ad Earnings tool, which enables creators to collect ad earnings from matching videos that include in-stream ads, now includes a new filter view for spotting which matches are monetizable, better guidance on taking advantage of those opportunities, exportable revenue reports to see what each asset earned the previous month and the ability to apply Collect Ad Earnings while using Ownership Links.
A new in-stream ads toggle was added to Creator Studio to enable creators to manage content monetization via mobile devices.
Finally, In-stream ads are being expanded to Egypt, Iraq, Morocco and Turkey.
Product manager Jeniece Primus wrote in a blog post, “We want to help creators earn money and build a meaningful business on Facebook. To help creators achieve their financial goals, we are giving more creators the ability to collect ad earnings from matched Rights Manager content and offering in-stream ads in more countries.”
