Fans are invited to show off their pets’ funniest, most bizarre behaviors via the short-form video feature, and some of Instagram’s emerging pet creators will partake, as well, sharing their content to The Dodo’s main feed.
The Dodo will choose its favorite fan submissions and feature them in its Instagram Stories for its nearly 10 million followers.
The Dodo senior director of social Nicole Hendrickson said in a statement, “With nearly 10 million Instagram followers, The Dodo has built a robust and highly engaged community of animal lovers around the world. As an official launch partner for Instagram Reels, we’ve seen massive success to date using the new feature. We’re excited to deepen our Instagram partnership and launch our new ‘Weirdest Pets Challenge’ using Reels to give Dodo fans a fun opportunity to get their pets’ quirks spotlighted on our account.”
