Spotify has made headlines with podcast news. After creating a partnership with the Obamas’ production company Higher Ground last year, the audio streaming service announced it will exclusively host former first lady Michelle Obama’s podcast, debuting later this month. This comes after a deal with Omnicom Media Group that gives it first-listen rights for ads to run on Spotify Original podcasts.
Julie Clark, Spotify’s global head of ad revenue innovation, joins us to talk more about the platform’s diverse ad offerings for podcasts, including video ads and ad-insert programs, as well as testing in-app offers and the streamer’s plans to grow globally.
