VMLY&R appointed Augé Reichenberg as CCO of its health practice, hiring her away from competitor Havas Health & You.
In the role, Reichenberg will be tasked with overseeing creative for health clients including AstraZaneca, GSK, Merck, Pfizer and Sanofi. She will report to VMLY&R New York CEO and VMLY&R North America co-CCO Jason Xenopoulos, who took on those roles as part of the newly-formed VMLY&R’s global creative leadership team in 2018 following WPP’s merger of VML and Y&R.
“Augé has a proven track record of delivering award-winning, effective creative work at some of the top agencies in the industry,” Xenopoulos said in a statement. “As we continue to build the connected health agency of the future, Augé’s leadership and expertise is an invaluable addition to our bench of strengths in the health and wellness space.”
Reichenberg arrives at VMLY&R with a wealth of experience in the space. She joins VMLY&R from Havas Health & You, where she served as executive vice president, CCO. She previously held creative leadership roles at Razorfish Health, FCB Health and McCann Health and has led work for clients including Allegan, Bayer, Novartis, Pfizer and Sanofi and helped launched brands such as Prolia (Amgen), Gilenya and Entrensto (Novartis). Reichenberg also worked on a “Lighter Blue” campaign for Takeda’s Trintellix, which was awarded at Cannes Health Lions, and was the co-creator of the “Hope for Depression” film about chronic depression.
“VMLY&R is rare,” Reichenberg said in a statement. “It has the winning combination of proven creative excellence and a technological edge that is uniquely elevating the art and science of health like no other agency before it. Through giant ideas and technological know-how, VMLY&R has ways to directly serve up connected health solutions all along a person’s individual health or wellness journey.”
Reichenberg added that since she has dedicated her “entire career to what creativity and technology can do for the health and wellness of humanity,” she imagines this position to be a “perfect fit.”
Reichenberg’s hire follows VMLY&R appointing Myron King as chief integration officer last month.
